Before you call

Every question we get about outdoor lighting

Permanent roofline lighting, Christmas and holiday displays, landscape and garden lighting, patios and pergolas, storefronts and commercial buildings — answered straight, including the ones with awkward answers. If yours is not here, call (979) 549-8827 and a person picks up.

Permanent & Decorative Lighting

What the system is, and what it is like to live with.

A low-profile LED track installed once along your roofline, eaves and gables and left there year round. The channel is powder-coated to match your trim, so by day it reads as part of the house. By night it is whatever you set it to from your phone — warm white, a holiday palette, your team colors, or off.

That is the question we get most, and the honest answer is: barely, and only if you go looking. The aluminium channel is about an inch across and tucks under the fascia, color-matched to your trim. From the street it reads as a shadow line. It is not invisible — nothing screwed to a house is — but nobody has ever walked up a driveway and noticed it before we pointed it out.

String lights are hung on hooks and clips, come down in January, and go into a bin in the garage — along with the ladder, the tangles, and whatever the attic heat did to them. Permanent lighting is mounted into the structure with concealed wiring, and it is there in July as readily as December. You are buying the last install instead of the next one.

From an app on your phone: colors, patterns, brightness, zones and schedules. Set it once for the season and forget it, or change it on a whim. You can also put it on a dusk-to-dawn schedule so it simply handles itself.

Commercial-grade LED diodes are rated around 50,000 hours. Running dusk to midnight, that is well over a decade before you would expect any meaningful dimming. The system carries a 10-year warranty.

Pennies a night. A full roofline of LEDs draws less than a couple of household bulbs — the running cost is not something our customers notice on a bill.

No. It is a wired system on your household power, so it goes out when the house does and comes back when the house does. Your schedules and saved scenes are not lost.

Christmas & Holiday Lights

December, October, the Fourth, and game day — from one install.

No. That is the entire point. One installation covers Christmas, Halloween, the Fourth of July, game day, and plain warm white for every ordinary night in between. Nothing comes down, ever.

Yes — and candy cane, warm white with a twinkle, snowfall effects, or a full animated show. Every diode is individually addressable, so red and green can alternate on the same run of track rather than being one color for the whole house.

Book before November if you can. Holiday slots fill first in Brazoria County and we would rather tell you that now than in December. Call (979) 549-8827 and we will tell you honestly what is still open.

Yes. Pool lighting runs $35-$47 per linear foot, material and labour included, and it goes around the coping, the deck, the water features and the fence line. It is the same permanent track and the same app as the roofline, so the whole yard changes colour together. The length is measured on the free visit — a pool perimeter is not something to guess at from a slider.

Yes, we offer seasonal installation for wreaths, trees and yard displays alongside the permanent system. Most customers who try both end up permanent — but if this year you just want the house done for the season, we will do that.

Over time, yes. Professional seasonal installation runs a few dollars per linear foot every single year, forever, plus you replace strands. Permanent lighting is one larger payment that covers every holiday after it. Most customers cross over somewhere in the third to fifth year, and after that it is free by comparison.

Most do, and many prefer them: the track is color-matched and off-season it is invisible, which is tidier than a street of mismatched strands nailed up in November. We will give you the specifications in writing so you can hand them to your board before you commit.

Landscape & Garden Lighting

Uplighting, path lights, and trees — the light on the ground.

Yes. Low-voltage uplighting for facades, stonework and columns; accent spots for trees and garden beds; path lighting for walkways and driveways. It is designed together with the roofline so the light on the ground answers the light on the roof rather than fighting it.

Landscape fixtures run on 12 volts through a transformer instead of household current. That makes the buried cable safe to work around, cheap to run, and simple to extend later when you add a bed or a tree.

Landscape work is quoted per fixture and per run, not per foot, because a yard is not a roofline — the number depends on how many trees, paths and walls you want lit and how far apart they are. The on-site design and quote are free, and we will show you the layout before anything is dug.

It is a fair worry and the reason we walk the yard with you first. Low-voltage cable is set shallow and routed around irrigation lines and root zones. We mark and plan before anything opens.

The LED fixtures are rated for the same order of life as the roofline diodes — 50,000 hours — and are sealed for Gulf Coast humidity. The usual failure in landscape lighting is not the light, it is a rushed connection at the cable; ours are made to be serviceable and dry.

Yes — that is how we design it. One system, one app, zones you can run together or independently: roofline in warm white, uplighting on the trees, path lights on their own schedule.

Patio, Pergola & Outdoor Living

The back of the house, where you actually sit.

Yes. Track can follow a pergola beam, a porch ceiling line, or the edge of a covered patio the same way it follows a roofline — mounted into the structure with the wiring concealed, rather than hooked across on a cord.

String lights are wonderful and cheap and they sag, yellow, and crack at the sockets after a couple of Texas summers. Permanent track does not sag because it is not hanging — it is fastened to the beam. And it changes color, dims, and runs on a schedule, which a string of bulbs cannot.

Yes. Zones are set up at install: you can have the roofline off and the patio at twenty percent, or the whole property up for a party. It is all the same app.

Yes, and those are good candidates — outdoor kitchens and pool decks are the areas people most often find under-lit after dark. We will look at the structure on the free visit and tell you what will mount cleanly and what will not.

Commercial & Business Lighting

Storefronts, restaurants, offices and signage.

Yes — the same permanent technology, scaled up. Storefront and signage outline lighting, restaurant patios, office buildings and hospitality. We have installed for businesses across Brazoria County; Matagorda County Credit Union is on our Our Work page.

Yes. Brand colors year round, a promotion palette for a weekend, school colors on a Friday, or a full holiday display in December — switched from the app, with no re-install and no lift rental.

It does not have to. We schedule commercial work around your hours, including after-hours and overnight installation where the site allows. Tell us your constraint on the first call and we will build the schedule around it.

Commercial jobs are quoted after an on-site assessment rather than off a slider, because the variables are height, access, structure and electrical — not just footage. The assessment is free and the quote is in writing.

Yes. Commercial installs are backed with a service plan and the same 10-year product warranty, so a dead run on a storefront is a phone call and not a project.

Yes — outlining signage, entry arches and architectural features is some of the highest-impact work we do, because it is what a driver sees at fifty feet in the dark.

Installation, Roof & Warranty

The concerns that deserve a straight answer.

Installed correctly, no. The track fastens to the fascia or soffit — the trim boards — not through the shingles or the roof deck. Nothing penetrates the roofing system, and the fasteners we do use are sealed. If an installer ever proposes running track across shingles or wiring through the roof, that is the point to stop and get a second opinion.

It should not, for the same reason: a roof warranty covers the roofing system, and we do not touch it. If your roof is under an active manufacturer warranty, tell us on the first visit and we will document exactly what we mount to so you have it on file.

Most homes are done in a day. We confirm the timeline on your written quote after the on-site visit, because it genuinely depends on the roofline — a single-storey hip roof and a cut-up two-storey are different days of work.

The track and diodes are weatherproof and UV-rated, and near the coast that matters more than most places — salt air destroys seasonal strands in a single season. Storm damage is not covered by the warranty, but the system is built for Texas heat, humidity and rain.

You call us and we come fix it. That is what the 10-year warranty is for. Because the diodes are individually addressable, a failure shows up as one dark point rather than a dead half of the house, and it is a repair rather than a replacement.

Brick, stone, siding, stucco, single or two storey, new construction or fifty years old — the track mounts to the trim, and every house has trim. New construction is the easiest of all, because the fascia is clean and nothing has to be worked around.

Cost, Quotes & Scheduling

What it costs and what happens after you call.

We install at $26 to $35 per linear foot, with material and labor included and no surprises after. For most homes in Brazoria County that lands between $2,600 and $11,000, depending on how much of the house you light. The estimator on this site gives you a real number in about a minute.

Because a simple single-storey hip roof is genuinely cheaper per foot to install than a cut-up two-storey with dormers and multiple gables. We would rather show you the band your house falls in than quote one number and revise it after we see the place.

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The estimator is a good-faith range from footage and scope. The price you sign comes from the free on-site measure, in writing, before anything is ordered. That written number is the number.

Yes, and with no obligation. We measure, show you the layout, and give you the price in writing. If you decide against it, that is the end of it and you owe nothing.

Talk to us about it on the call — we would rather discuss what actually applies to your job than post a rate here that may not.

It holds your install date and comes off the final invoice. Permanent installs: a $500 deposit, paid by card or by phone. Seasonal displays: half of the quoted display, taken once you have the quote. Cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled date and it is refunded in full; inside 7 days it covers the crew day we set aside. The full terms are on the Terms page.

Brazoria County and the surrounding Gulf Coast — Pearland, Alvin, Angleton, Lake Jackson, Freeport, Manvel and nearby. Residential and commercial both. If you are just outside that, call and ask; the answer is often yes.
